Dragon is generally told to be a wicked and magical animal in west but it is not so in Japan, where it is the animal who saves them from bad powers. Japanese myths has several special kind of dragons like the one which symbolizes good powers and divinity; the one which represents the bad powers and things like famine; the one which controls the weather and the dragon of luxuries. In Japanese culture dragons are supposed to be the gods and the powers controlling human. Tattoos, which have dragonfly signs, shows the particular dragon’s powers and this trend initiated from the eastern land.

Stories of dragons are very common in Japan and china and the tattoo culture is initiated from several eastern countries. In Arabian nights, in Indian myths, In Japanese devine stories and in Chinese culture dragon and tattoos both are find in various places.

Now a day’s tattoo is not used for any kind of power or affect but now tattoo has become a symbol of different kind of expressions, and in that case dragonfly symbolizes two things. When it is seen from the western concept dragon fly is the devilish animal and symbolizes witchcraft, cruelty and black magic. When it seen frown the eastern and Japanese’s concept dragonfly is the animal of peace and controlling powers of humanity, it also derives good luck in some cases.

Dragonfly tattoos are the most common tattoos for current as there is a special fascination with dragonfly tattoo, which comes from all those stories told and listened as myths. Hollywood movies like Red Dragon have added some more fascinations in it and then there are WWE fighter and rock stars, which uses the tattoos for various symbolizations. Dragonfly tattoos are the very common, very effective and have very strong symbolizations, so are those being more and more popular without mattering what are the effects, but what the trends say, is mattering.
